About us
Steven & Helen Anderson
Hello - and thanks for visiting our website! We're Steven and Helen Anderson, founders of Mapmakers equipping ministry and Waymakers simple church network. Our ministry seeks to equip, enable and activate God's people in the gifts of the Spirit. We host equipping and activation courses that are open for all to attend, or we can run tailor made equipping courses for churches.
Our Background
We've been involved in a variety of Christian leadership roles since 1987. Steven was pastor of Castlemilk Baptist Church in Glasgow from 1987 -1999, before forming Prayer for the City in Glasgow with Helen, a ministry seeking to bring united, envisioned, and sustained prayer for transformation.
In 2004 we pioneered Healing Rooms in Scotland which we led as National Directors for 10 years, seeing 50 rooms open and operating across the nation. We've ministered in several nations through the work of Healing Rooms.

Between us, we've written several books including Releasing Healing, Discovery Questions, Life to the Full, Equipped: Activated and Released, and The Day That Changed My Life. Our latest book, Be Fruitful and Multiply was published in 2024.

Our Vision
Our heart is to support, strengthen, and equip God’s people, activating their gifts and ministries in preparation for a fresh outpouring of God’s Spirit and a greater harvest. Our base camp equips and activates you to take back into your church, or to partner with us in birthing a Waymaker simple community church
